Factory output is ready to scale up. We can utilize other vegetable raw materials than the fava bean for making protein isolates without reconfiguring the layout/production rocess.
Unique water quality sourced from a nearby crater lake with subsequent sand filtration of water.
The steam boiler below is powered by biofuel. New investment will enable the purchase of a new pellet steam boiler which will double production capacity.
Above photo on the left shows the rotating vacuum filter optimizes the protein exchange by mixing water with the starch prior to entering the vacuum filter and is then reintroduced into the process.
The microfiltration unit under constuction will be used to refine the protein particles from other substances in the raw material.

Marc Ljungström
the driving force behind this project, has built a career on pioneering large scale investments in the food industry
Starting as a trainee in fruit beverage production in Germany, he transformed his family’s small apple juice business into an advanced processing facility in collaboration with Alfa Laval. He later expanded operations by acquiring Tingsryds Bryggeri, introducing ground breaking sterile products with fruit pieces in Tetra Pak-style packaging—securing major clients like Knorr and Pripps. Marc played a pivotal role in developing the firs
Over four decades, he led Maseco AB, supplying cutting-edge technology to the food sector. His expertise continued with Castellet Bruk AB, working with industry leaders like Tetra Pak. Most recently, he is spearheading an innovative plant-based protein production facility, combining decades of technical know-how with strategic investment acumen.
Åke Ståhl
is the person behind the know how technology to extract, purify and isolate plant based proteins with neutal taste, bright colour, high solubility and maintaining the proteins functionality, as it is in the plant.
Åke is a food chemical engineer with long experience from quality control, microbial analysis, supervisor in dairy for yoghurt production, technical sales and customer service including application technology for the food and pharmaceutical industries in the Nordic countries for speciality starches, research and development of processes and products connected with starch industries.
He has also been the company representative in different joint research projects together with Universities, RISE, VINNOVA and SLU, where he has acted as a technical consultant for the researchers.
Åke is an inventor and has been involved in a vast number of patents. He has won the best technical solution two times on the International Internet site “Innocentive.com”- platform for projects which companies search solutions for but have not been able to solve. The site is today sold out to another company. On top of this he has also been involved in food legislation matters for the EU starch trade association.
Åke has totally almost 45 years of experience from different parts of the food industry and how to solve technical problems within this business area.
Magnus Jörsmo
Senior Commercial Director Europe at the listed Quaker Houghton (KWR), with over 25 years of experience in leading positions in the European chemical and process industry.
Former VP at AAK and CEO and CCO at polymer industries in Sweden and the Netherlands.
For the past six years, Magnus has been responsible for Quaker Houghton’s European sales organization.
His experience includes mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and IPOs.
